This coming weekend we’re flying to Canada for a major comics event: the Toronto Comics Arts Festival! Come to the Toronto Reference Library on Saturday-Sunday, May 9-10 for a wonderful (and completely free to the public!!) event featuring hundreds of amazing comic artists, illustrators and writers. We last attended TCAF in 2010, before Mangaka, and now we’re thrilled to come back to host two live Mangaka events!

MANGAKA: THE FAST & FURIOUS GAME OF DRAWING COMICS DEMO!!
Jason Thompson is the writer of the popular column “House of 1000 Manga”, and literally wrote the book on the medium. Now he’s created something all-new: Mangaka: The Fast & Furious Game of Drawing Comics! Through fleeting trends and crazy obsessions, test your cleverness to end up with the most Fame when the clock runs down. Be one of the very first players in the world to experience the game in this complete play-through! Only a limited number of participants will be allowed, check in with Jason in the Comics Vs. Games area Saturday morning to confirm a spot!
